Bryan Singer- philanthropist take 3

From the mid 2000’s Bryan Singer has made pledges to a number of charitable organisations across a variety of sectors. One such sector encompasses his donations to continuing education. We know that Bryan himself has a child, named Dashiell, born in January 2015 to his mother, actress and good friend of Singers, Michelle Clunie. Since having his own child Singer has focused on pledging towards initiatives that allow children and young people the advantage and right to an education.  From children’s theatre, to schools of music and public libraries, Singer has made noteworthy contributions in the hope of continuing education for children and young people in America. He has also supported his own college USC where he graduated from in 1989 giving a seven year pledge to the School of Cinematic Arts to improve learning and access to resources for its pupils.

Furthermore, Singers contributions extend to those that are less privileged and rely on services in the community, such as donating to Trenton area soup kitchen in 2008 and Hawaii community foundation in 2015. This focuses on a range of initiatives from improving economic inequalities, housing homeless families, youth development and improving transitioning from foster care. Singer was born in New York City but grew up in New Jersey having been adopted by Grace Sinden and Norbert Singer. Therefore improving children’s lives in foster care is a cause aligned to his own upbringing. Overall, Singer has made a difference to many lives through his philanthropy work and continues to do so.
